Darcy J. Chamberlin

Attorney at Law

Ms. Chamberlin has been a licensed attorney for over 30 years. She is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the federal bar. Ms. Chamberlin is a graduate of Indiana University, where she received a B.A. in 1976 and a J.D. in 1979. She lives in the Western Suburbs with her husband.

Ms. Chamberlin has been given the highest rating possible, AV Preeminent, 5.0 out of 5.0 from the respected Martindale-Hubble peer review guide, in recognition of her highly regarded legal skills and professional ethics.

Ms. Chamberlin is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a nonprofit association of more than 2,600 trust and estate lawyers who practice throughout the United States, Canada, and the world. Membership in ACTEC is by election of the Regents of the College. Candidates for election as an ACTEC Fellow must meet rigorous eligibility critera in the active practice of probate, trust law and estate planning.

Ms. Chamberlin has been selected in the past as a Five Star Wealth Manager in the area of Estate Planning.

She has been named a “Leading Illinois Attorney” by the Leading Attorney Network, an organization that asks Illinois attorneys to name experts in their area of practice.

Ms. Chamberlin is a member of the Special Needs Alliance and a current member and former Treasurer of the Illinois Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She is a former member on the Board of Directors of Community Support Services, Inc., a non-profit organization located in the Western Suburbs serving people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Ms. Chamberlin has made many presentations in the firm’s areas of practice. She also has published articles that serve as authoritative references.

Sara E. Riechert

Attorney at Law

Ms. Riechert is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Ohio. Ms. Riechert obtained a B.B.A. from the University of Cincinnati in 2003. She graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the bar in Ohio that same year. Ms. Riechert relocated to Illinois and became licensed to practice law in Illinois in 2011.

Ms. Riechert practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and guardianship. Ms. Riechert’s past experience primarily in the area of family law enables her to understand the often complex nature of modern families with adoptions, blended families, and same sex marriages. She is passionate about providing high quality legal services to clients through exceptional service, communication, and compassion to face any concern a client may have.

Ms. Riechert lives in the western suburbs with her husband and children and is active in her community.

Irene S. Brewick

Attorney at Law

Ms. Brewick has been a licensed attorney for over 25 years. She is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois. She is a graduate of the College of Mt. St. Joseph, Cincinnati, Ohio, where she received her B.A. in 1973, and of Loyola University of Chicago where she received her J.D. in 1983. She lives in the Western Suburbs with her husband and four children.

Ms. Brewick has practiced in the area of business organizations and real estate, and taught for Roosevelt University’s paralegal program for several years.


Jill Jett

Paralegal

Jill Jett graduated from Aurora University in 2002 with a degree in criminal justice and psychology. She received her paralegal certificate from Northwestern Business School in 2007. Jill did her externship at Darcy’s firm and accepted a position as a legal assistant. She currently does double duty as the office manager and a legal assistant. In her spare time, Jill enjoys running, reading science fiction/fantasy and mystery novels, playing Dungeon & Dragons and Pathfinder, cooking and baking. Jill hopes to go back to school in the near future to study Japanese. She loves dogs.


Jennifer Martinez
Jennifer Martinez

Paralegal

Jennifer graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019 with a Bachelors in History. She received her paralegal certificate from Oakton Community College in 2021. She aspires to go to law school in the future.

She enjoys reading, baking, traveling, and playing board games with friends in her spare time.


Kate Petersen

Legal Assistant

Kate has worked for Darcy Chamberlin since 1997. Having spent time as a fifth grade teacher, Kate has found her strengths in writing and math have been a good fit with her duties at Chamberlin Law Group.

As Ms. Chamberlin’s legal assistant in the probate, trust and guardianship divisions, Kate interacts with the Executors, Trustees and Guardians, assisting them in carrying out the duties of their office.

Kate lives in Lisle next to a golf course with a huge yard she loves to mow while her dogs frolic nearby. In the office, she relishes her role as the go-to person should there be any need for silliness.
